Why you should use Office 365 ?

In this article i'm going to give you more informations about Office 365 to help you decide to migrate to Office 365.

Office 365 is a package with a lot of microsoft products, down bellow you will see the list of all these products:

Today i will talk more about use cases than products because whatever you have a lot of products if you don't know how they can simplify your daily work.

Use Case 1

I have a workshop with coworkers, we need to work on a proposal for a customer and i can't go to Office to do this workshop.

Solution:

Set-up the meeting:

I use Outlook connected to Office 365 to schedule a Skype Meeting, my coworkers will just have to click in the skype in the meeting invitation when it will be the time for the meeting to start the Skype VideoConference (or Audio Conference) with me.

Co-Working on document:

Now that we are inside the videoconférence, i start a new Word Document inside SharePoint Online and Show it by Skype to my co-workers so we can start to do the proposal, one of my co-worker wants to modify the document in same time as me, so inside Word i share the document with him and now we are doing co-editing in same document.

Use Case 2

I'm a worker who travel a lot and i'm afraid to oneday lose all my datas for some reason like someone steal my computer or my hard drive crash.

Solution:

Now i use onedrive for business to store my documents so i can read my documents by a web browser from any computers or mobile device with my Office 365 Credentials, in same time i use the OneDrive for Business synchronisation tool so i keep a local copy of my files on my computers in case i don't have internet to still have access to my files.

Use Case 3

I'm a project manager and i need to work with coworkers from different departments, we need to share documents about the project, share a calendar and a easy way to communicate together and i need to have this solution very fast.

Solution:

I create a new Office Group inside Office 365 to invite my coworkers, this office group create a new sharing storage for our project documents, we have a shared mailbox to save our emails exchange, a calendar to schedule our next meeting and a private "wall' to discuss about our project.

Use case 4

My compagny is insterested to have a collaborative Solution for sharing files but we are afraid about security and your IT service need a simple solution to manage security and governance of the new solution coming.

Solution:

If you are afraid about the sharing security, you can use extra solution like AvePoint DocAve to do the Governance of your Solution, you will be able to manage the sharing inside SharePoint Online, OneDrive for business and soon Office Groups.

Use case 5

A few weeks ago i was working with co-worker Dany on a powerpoint presentation but i don't remember where we stored this document, Dany is off today.

Solution:

Inside Delve i can see the documents my co-workers and me worked earlier and i will find the powerpoint presentation i was looking for.
