From Paper to SharePoint Workflow

If simple workflows do not meet your needs, it is always possible to create custom workflows.
SharePoint Designer 2013 tool (free download from Microsoft Website) that lets you via a graphical interface to a workflow that triggers over :
User actions : Add / Modify / Delete a document for example
Values (date, etc... figure ) : if an amount in a purchase form is reached it could trigger an action as an email or request validation for example.
Metadata : example: in a Helpdesk ticket , you could have a status " Open, ongoing, closed" and depending on the workflow status will copy the ticket in another list , transferring a person etc..
The possibilities opened by the SharePoint Designer tool are very extensive and can easily meet the usual needs , if this is not the case it will always be possible to make workflows using Visual Studio but in this case you need to hire a person with IT development skills .
